THE HAMMER SLINGSHOT REVIEW

Today’s video is my review of the Hammer slingshot from simple-shot.com

The Hammer is a modular slingshot system that can go between being a regular slingshot and a sling bow which makes it perfect for hunting in the woods or being in your bugout bag. The design of The Hammer lets you remove the regular slingshot head and replace it with a sling bow head giving it a lot of versatility in the field. The Hammer has a rail on it for mounting accessories on it as well. You can buy a bow fishing setup for it or you can make other attachments for it as well.

Thanks to the good folks at simpleshot.com for supplying me with the Hammer slingshot so i could make this video.

EPISODE-236 2 KNIFE REVIEW

Today i review 2 knives, one from Gerber called the EAB lite its a small everyday carry knife. It is a foldable box cutter that weighs mere ounces and when its folded up looks like more like a money clip than a knife. This is actually a follow up about one year after carrying one of these knives for a year. Here are some stats on the Gerber EAB lite.

DSCF6085

  • Open Length: 5.10″
  • Blade Length: 1.5″
  • Closed Length: 2.85″
  • Weight: 2.5 oz
  • Handle Material: Stainless Steel

You can find  the Gerber EAB lite on amazon for xxx by clicking this link Here.

The second knife is a knife from Titan international knives. It is the closest thing that they sell to a bushcrafting knife that i could find,Titan international is a smaller producer of knives from Verona WI. They produce ,from what i can tell a semi custom knife. I think they buy the blanks and make the handles which makes them an affordable knife for the first time buyer.it appars that they do the final fit and finish on their knives.

DSCF6084

The knife i bought from them is made out of 15N20, 1095 damascus steel, which it appears that they make a lot of their knives from. The handle is made from black micarta with brass pins.

  • OA length 9″
  • Blade width 1.25″
  • Blade length 4.75″
  • Handle length 4.25″
  • Blade thickness 3/16″
  • Handle thickness 3/4″

EPISODE- 209 ALONE TV SHOW

Hello everyone,

Todays episode is on the history channel show alone. I think Alone is one of the better shows out there right now .The premise is simple drop a bunch of survivalists off alone in the woods and see who is the last man standing. Totally alone in the wilderness filming yourself survivorman style is a great way to test your skills. I guarantee everyone on the show left learning something that they will carry along with them for the rest of their lives. Listen in today on some of my other thoughts on the show alone.

We now have a forum up and running!!!!! Please stop by and check it out , we don’t have a lot on there yet but we wanted to have a place where everyone can share their ideas on prepping and diy. EPISODE-182 PALEO UPDATE

Hello everybody !

Today’s show is my paleo update. I started the paleo lifestyle about two months ago and i have had some awesome results! Started out at 317 pounds before i did anything. It was a reflection of the crappy diet i was eating as the typical american. I currently weigh 285 after being on paleo for just over 2 months. You will hear me say a higher number for my end weight and that is because i recorded this podcast a little while ago so the number has changed. At work when people heard i was on a diet, which is a normal guy thing, but i love to shut them up by saying “how many diets do you know of where you get to eat bacon and eggs every morning?” I love to see the looks on their faces when i tell them that. As far as goals for the paleo diet go , i really don’t have one i just take everything one day at a time.

One thing you have to remember this is a lifestyle not a fad diet you have to leave your old way of thinking behind If you want to learn about my experiences on paleo check out today’s show.

We  also have a segment called Gardening in 2 minutes with Holly and Joey Baird from the Wisconsin vegetable gardener.com so please check them out !!
