THE HAMMER SLINGSHOT REVIEW

Today’s video is my review of the Hammer slingshot from simple-shot.com

The Hammer is a modular slingshot system that can go between being a regular slingshot and a sling bow which makes it perfect for hunting in the woods or being in your bugout bag. The design of The Hammer lets you remove the regular slingshot head and replace it with a sling bow head giving it a lot of versatility in the field. The Hammer has a rail on it for mounting accessories on it as well. You can buy a bow fishing setup for it or you can make other attachments for it as well.

Thanks to the good folks at simpleshot.com for supplying me with the Hammer slingshot so i could make this video.

Check them out here at simple-shot.com

EPISODE-239 BASIC FIREARM SKILLS

Sorry i haven’t had an episode out in a while guys, I had a lot going on around here and i didn’t have time to edit and upload podcasts like i wanted to. The bummer is now i am all caught up and now i am having technical issues with the site and i cant get it to let me upload more than 25% of a podcast. So i didnt want to let you go with out a podcast any longer so i am posting an old episode. This episode is originally episode 31. I know the audio is going to be crappy but like i said i cant upload anything so i cant even re edit the episode and re upload it. Anyway i hope you stick with me till i get this figured out and i hope you enjoy this podcast from my first year of podcasting.

Today i discuss how to inspect a gun when you are buying it and how to sight in a rifle . I discuss what to look for as far as finish of a rifle and things to check when looking over the mechanical parts .If you are ever in doubt a bout a rifle you should always refer to a gunsmith is you are not 100% sure on something .This is meant to be a guide to help you weed out the crappy firearms from the better ones . I also discuss how to sight in a rifle scope without a boresighter, which is becoming a lost art nowadays. I also discuss how to adjust open sights on a rifle .

EPISODE-236 2 KNIFE REVIEW

Today i review 2 knives, one from Gerber called the EAB lite its a small everyday carry knife. It is a foldable box cutter that weighs mere ounces and when its folded up looks like more like a money clip than a knife. This is actually a follow up about one year after carrying one of these knives for a year. Here are some stats on the Gerber EAB lite.

DSCF6085

  • Open Length: 5.10″
  • Blade Length: 1.5″
  • Closed Length: 2.85″
  • Weight: 2.5 oz
  • Handle Material: Stainless Steel

You can find  the Gerber EAB lite on amazon for xxx by clicking this link Here.

The second knife is a knife from Titan international knives. It is the closest thing that they sell to a bushcrafting knife that i could find,Titan international is a smaller producer of knives from Verona WI. They produce ,from what i can tell a semi custom knife. I think they buy the blanks and make the handles which makes them an affordable knife for the first time buyer.it appars that they do the final fit and finish on their knives.

DSCF6084

The knife i bought from them is made out of 15N20, 1095 damascus steel, which it appears that they make a lot of their knives from. The handle is made from black micarta with brass pins.

  • OA length 9″
  • Blade width 1.25″
  • Blade length 4.75″
  • Handle length 4.25″
  • Blade thickness 3/16″
  • Handle thickness 3/4″
