today’s topic is on how learning to do diy projects can save you money.this money can then be redirected to other areas of your life such as other homesteading projects, prepping , getting out of debt, or just putting cash away on a rainy day. i give some examples on how my projects have saved me money as well.

Today i am going to start a series on buying hand tools. I discuss what to look for when buying a handsaw. What the different types are ,and their uses .I also discuss how to make a square cut with a handsaw. I know a lot of you guys out there might know these things,but there are a lot of people out there that might not know some of this info.It is really sad to know that the number of people that know how to use a hand saw keeps dropping every year. It used to be a very common skill not that long ago.
Today’s show is my thoughts on wind power and the different types and their use.i also talk about battery backup supplies because i think these topics kind of go hand in hand ,you really cant make effective use of one without the other .i tell you where you can get cheap batteries , how to wire them up ,and examples on how you might want to contain your battery backup supply .
you will probably notice a difference in the audio quality today ,and that’s because i recorded this show on my mp3 player .i wanted to try it out and see how it would work out .anyway todays show is my thoughts on using and building a solar dehydrator. i also talk about making a solar pre heater for your water heater,and solar hot water collector for supplemental heating of your home or outbuildings. i didnt have any notes when i did todays show so i may have skipped some things and i will probably do a more in depth show in these topics in the future .
today at i discuss setting up your home workshop and how i planned out my workshop . i discuss drawing layouts for placing outlets ,and lighting . and how to save time in figuring out where you would want everything to go.
