today’s podcast was recorded on a trip my friend tom and i made to the army surplus store.there are a lot of great items you can get at a army surplus store like bags, canteens, cups, sleeping bags, mre’s, knives ,and other equipment that can be a cornerstone to getting your preps together. tom is just started thinking about getting prepared and wanted to put a BOB together and went looking around for some of the items he may need .also i needed a another ammo can .we also stopped at a couple of gun stores and checked out some AR-15′s because tom is thinking of buying one. so this episode is basically 2 guys talking on their way from this trip .
its the first time i have had someone else on the show and he is a little hard to hear but i did what i could but i didn’t want the background noise to get to loud. also there are a couple of words that are inappropriate for young children on this show so you should pre- listen if there are going to be children around.
today’s episode is about my thoughts on deer hunting. these are just some of my random thoughts on deer hunting including my thoughts on deer blinds, ethics, shot placement , taking kids hunting, baiting and the overall image of hunters. my voice starts to get bad at the end of the episode because i am still getting over being sick so please bear with the occasional coughs and my raspy voice.i just really wanted to get out a friday show for you guys .
todays episode is on valuable skills for SHTF. this is part five of the series. this also is going to be a multiple show series because i just don’t list the skills and that’s that , i do talk a little about why i think they are valuable to know .i do not know how many episodes this will turn out to be but i am going to try to keep them at about 30 minutes.also if anyone has any show topics they want to hear please send me an e-mail with what you want to hear.
today’s episode is on diy walking sticks .i talk about the use of walking sticks, and some of the advantages of using walking sticks when hiking. i also talk about making a diy walking stick. i go over some of the materials i think would make a walking stick .and i go over what kinds of finishes you can use and also how to wrap cordage around the handle ,and the different features you can incorporate into your walking stick.
today i talk about building a bug out bag ,a 72 hour kit or a good bag , or whatever else you may want to call it .in this podcast i give you some ideas on what you might want to put in your bag ,as well as some of the examples of some things that are in mine. this is not an all inclusive list as everyone has different needs and i probably forgot some things that would be of use to some people but it is a good start.
Todays show is my thoughts on building a survival gun battery.i go over some of the types of guns you might want in your survival gun battery, the advantages and the disavantages of some of the types of firearms availiable, and my choices and why i choose them.this is not a show on battle rifles or anything like that. i just talk about the diffrent firearms and their advantages in a long term survival situation. also i recorded this in my car on the way to work so please forgive any background noise i tried to clean it up the best i could.

Even though today’s episode is titled “my thoughts on survival TV shows.” it is also on a my journey into getting involved in survival and preparedness. I also talk about some of the sites on the web that got me involved into being a prepper. I am sure some of the same shows may have woke you up also so you may see our journey into this topic may not be so different after all.
today is a continuation to episode-41 on wild edibles. i discuss some more wild edible plants you should know ,or at least be familiar with.i also want to say that this is just a general discussion on these plants to bring them to your attention and that if you want to start using them do your due diligence and research them your self or find a mentor to show you how to identify them.
i also want to mention that the old site’s feed will be no longer be updated and this is the one you will need to use from now on .the old site will be gone after april 27th .
